Happy helpers

I don't know if this picture will post, but here is the story. Our boys are pretty sweet, but let's be honest they are children of this technology driven era. Therefore they really don't want to clean or work or do anything that isn't going to 'pay off.' So we were floored when no complaints came out of their sweet little mouths yesterday when we asked them to go and help an elderly neighbor with his yardwork. They just said "OK" knowing full well there would be no 'Pay' involved. They worked on his yard for an hour and a half no problem....!!! They came home with little stories and bits of enjoyment!!

I will see what they have to say come Wednesday when we have our yard to do, they will go missing for those 2 hours I suppose Haha!!

Needless to say, I am a proud momma!!

Balls and the state!

Here we are in the heart of summer happiness, all the kids in a program mom and dad still killing themselves to make it all work. I guess we are a typical American family, of course with a few quirks here and there. I suppose when have one parent who is on occasion somewhat inappropriate, your kids will come up with some off the wall shit in public. For instance, yesterday as we were visiting our local DMV (which I like to go at least 4times for the same issue) my kids are counting to our number, always fun when u start at 843 and your number is 910. Anyhow, we are almost done and I of course am as calm as ever and always excited to pay exuberant amounts of money to the state. As we are walking to get into one final line and my son informs me and the rest of the state of Nevada that his balls are stuck to his leg, now normally I would handle this and create a teaching moment....ok come on I am not that girl, I know!! Uhg normally I would ....let's get this straight there is no normally for me; I completely lost my cool and let everyone in the state of Nevada know how great of a Mom I really am, I am sure people were taking notes. Well as soon as I could gain composure I then made comments that were a little more appropriate for the situation. It seems that this happens more often than not in my life LOL!!! So next time you see a crazed mother and three lunatic boys running a muck in the DMV, just wave and say hi!!
